Country Inn Rug School takes place annually at The Woodbound Inn in picturesque Southern New Hampshire. The Inn sits on the shore of Lake Contoocook in the heart of the Monadnock region, making it the perfect setting for a week-long getaway.
The Inn is family owned and operated. There are three types of residences: The Main Inn, Lakeside Cabins, and The Edgewood Building.
In addition to rug hooking, while you’re here, you can hike or bike on the 12 miles of trails, swim at the private beach, have a drink at the bar, or take a minute to marvel at the starry sky every evening.

The Residences
The Main Inn
The Inn offers old time charm with modern amenities. The cornerstone of the Main Inn was set in 1820 and has had many additions throughout the years. There are 15 handsomely appointed guest rooms. The first floor offers a lounge and is where the restaurant is. Complimentary wireless internet is available throughout the Inn.
Lakeside Cabins
The lakeside cabins are a rustic and charming accommodation along the shores of Lake Contoocook. Each cabin is unique, with fireplaces or wood stoves. Each cabin also offers a sitting area and small refrigerator. Parking is available for those who want it.
The Edgewood Building
The Edgewood residences sit right above the rug hooking room. It was built in the mid-1980’s and offers 14 hotel-style guest rooms, all with two double beds or one king size bed, a private bath, television, and complimentary wireless internet. Select rooms have been recently renovated to include new flooring, bedding and decor.

Instruction takes place in the Edgewood Ballroom, located below the Edgewood Residences.

Indoor and outdoor cash bar lounges and seating areas with scheduled live music. Drinks not included in room and board.
Delicious Meals Included
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is including taxes and gratuities included for boarding students. Lunch is included for Commuters. Commuters may buy additional meals. (See Room & Board).
Special Diet Menus
The team at the Woodbound Inn will accomodate any special dietary requests you have or need. Be sure to mark down any requests or allergies on your registration.
Free Parking
Parking is available in two lots at the the Inn.
Hiking and Swimming
Walk the 12 miles of trails or wake up with a morning swim from the private beach.

The Grounds
The Woodbound Inn is the perfect spot for a week long getaway of rughooking and friendship. During the day, learn from your teacher inn the Edgewood Ballroom (2), and have a delicious meals at the Grove Restaurant (1) or Barn (3).
After dinner relax by the gardens, patio, or screened in porch and enjoy live music and drinks (1), or return to your room in the Main Inn (1), Edgewood (2) or the Cabins (6-10).
